‘Frederic William Burton and his romantic connection to Waterford’.
Join Dr Marie Bourke (former Keeper-Head of Education, NGI), curator of the exhibition: Frederic William Burton: For the Love of Art, at the National Gallery of Ireland in an illustrated talk.
Marie will shed light on this leading water-colourist of the Pre-Raphaelite era, who was renowned for his romantic ‘The Meeting on the Turret Stairs’, 1864 but also had a romantic connection with Miss Mary Palliser of Waterford.
