This week’s ‘FREE’ bite size talk is on Ballybricken Jail and the Jail Wall Disaster. The jail was originally built in 1727 and then re-built in 1861. It remained a jail till 1939 and was then taken over by the LDF at the start of the ‘Emergency’. The Jail Wall disaster took place in March of 1943 and the jail was eventually demolished in 1949.
It will take place in the award winning MEDIEVAL MUSEUM on Wednesday 5th November at 1.15pm, looking forward to seeing you there!
