‘Silver in Georgian Dublin: Making, Selling, Consuming’
Alison Fitzgerald is a lecturer in the Department of History at Maynooth University.
She has published extensively on the market for silver in eighteenth-century Ireland, including articles in Apollo, Irish Architectural and Decorative Studies and Silver Studies.
Her monograph ‘Silver in Georgian Dublin: Making, Selling, Consuming’ was published by Routledge in 2016. She is a Director of the Castletown Foundation, a member of the academic advisory board for Irish Architectural and Decorative Studies, The Journal of the Irish Georgian Society, and Secretary to the Antique-Plate Committee of the Company of Goldsmiths of Dublin. She is editor of Studies in Irish Georgian Silver which will be published by Four Courts Press in Spring 2020.
