#Winterval2016 officially launched by the Mayor of Waterford, Clr. Adam Wyse in the Garden Room of the award winning Medieval Museum on Thursday night, what a great space to have this fantastic launch!
2016 is Winterval’s 5th birthday and they have made this years festival the best yet.
A small group of volunteers got together in 2012 and came up with an idea to make Waterford the capital of Christmas and its has grown every year since then.
In 2015, just four short years, the festival has attracted over 500,000 visitors from all over the country and is now the biggest event in the city every year. There are lots of new attractions at this years festival and as always many of our events are free of charge.
